Depositing A Check
When you are ready to deposit your check, endorse your check as you normally would. In the To Account list, tap the account you want to deposit the check into. In the Enter the check amount tap to enter the amount of the check and tap Set.

At this point, you’re ready to take a picture of your check for mobile deposit. There are guides on the screen that will help you align the check for the image. Tap Capture Image to use your device to take a picture of the front and back of the check, and tap Deposit.

If you find the image of the check is blurry, you can tap Retake Front or Retake Back to take a new picture. Some helpful tips for depositing a check through the Hills Bank app include placing the check flat on a plain dark background, and ensure nothing is obstructing the MICR line of your check.

When you’re happy with the image, tap Close and the check will appear in the submitted list in the Deposit Check History list.

Submit the front and back of your check by clicking Submit Deposit.

Storing your Check
After depositing your check, we recommend you write on the check it was a mobile deposit and the date on which you made the deposit, then keep it for 14 days. After that, you can feel free to file the check in a secure location for your records or securely dispose of it.

If you are already enrolled in mobile deposit but are unable to deposit your check, it’s possible we don’t have the proper email address on file for you.
