Summer Reading Program 2018


Hills Bank is proud to sponsor many Summer Reading Programs throughout the Eastern Iowa Corridor by partnering with our local schools grades K-12. Most programs begin at the end of May, just in time for summer break.

This year’s theme across the nation is Libraries Rock™. The yearly theme is brought to us by the Collaborative Summer Library Program™, an association of states (including Iowa) which works together to provide high quality summer reading program materials for public libraries and those who frequent them. Here are a few local kickoff dates to remember:

Mt. Vernon/Lisbon Summer Reading Program Kickoff:
Thursday, May 24th
5:00-6:30 PM
Hills Bank in Mt. Vernon, 720 1st Ave SE

Coralville Public Library Summer Reading Program Kickoff:
Thursday, May 24th
5:00-6:30 PM
Coralville Public Library, 1401 5th St

North Liberty Community Library Summer Reading Program Kickoff:
Wednesday, May 30th
6:00-7:30 PM
Hills Bank in North Liberty, 25 Hwy 965 N

Solon Public Library Summer Reading Program Kickoff:
Thursday May 31st
5:00-6:30 PM
Solon Public Library, 320 W Main St

At Hills Bank, we look forward to supporting Youth and Education through events like local Summer Reading Programs. Be sure to check out the details with your local library’s Summer Reading Program and watch for Penny Bear at the Summer Reading Kickoff Events.
